Happy new year friends! I want to start off by thanking everyone for their ongoing support of my artwork, website, youtube ect! You’ve all made it really worth my time and I thank you and appreciate that.

I’ve never been one to sit down and write my resolutions down. I’m really not even the type who’s ever HAD resolution besides “get published” haha. (which hasn’t really happened yet).

happy-new-year-2

Resolutions… Resolutions… Resolutions…

Things that need to stop.

  1. Stop letting people take advantage of me. – Write up a contract for my clients so I am paid for the work I do for them.
  2. Stand up for myself. Stop saying yes to everyone. – Think about what the situation is doing for myself rather than worrying about situations benefiting everyone else.
  3. Stop wasting time on people who don’t deserve it. – Stick to friendships and relationships that have mutual respect.

Things i’d like to start.

  1. I’d like to try and do 1 interview a month because it seems to bring the most attention to my website and photography.
  2. I’d like to start sewing. I have a couple bags of fabrics and old clothes i’d like to play around with and alter.
  3. I’d like to start playing more on my wacom tablet doing portrait illustrations.

I think having 3 of each is a nice balance for now. These are things I have thought a lot throughout 2016 and need to just get a move on with it.

Once again, thank you for reading! Have a beautiful 2017 friends!

Passion Moon Potions – Natural Hawaiian Skin Care

Passion_08Passion_06Passion Moon Potions is a Luxurious and Indulgent Skin Care line, handmade in Kona Hawaii. I was fortunate enough to collaborate with Francesca Azar, the founder and creator of Passion Moon Potions to review and share some of her luxurious products with you!

You can check out Francesca’s Etsy store here: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/PassionMoonPotions?ref=l2-shopheader-namePassion_01I received this Moisturizing Leave in Condition in the scent “Sweet Orange” which I have been really loving. This leave in conditioner comes in 9 different scents, I have quite curly hair naturally and this leave in conditioner really helps the curls stand out and hold bounce. This is perfect for at the beach and just everyday use after showering! My roommate and I are absolutely in love with this leave in conditioner and can’t get enough of it! It smells so refreshing with a creamy orange scent and leaves your hair looking and feeling nice and smooth.

Moisturizing Leave in Conditioner $9.07+ :  https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/225381168/moisturizing-leave-in-conditioner-hair?ref=shop_home_feat_1

“The perfect easy-to-use conditioner for all types of hair. This light spray won’t weigh down even the finest hair. Our Leave-in Detangler uses Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein and Castor Oil to smooth and condition the cuticle making it easy for combs and brushes to get through all your curls, waves, and knots! It’s perfect for after swimming in the ocean, or for any extra frizz.  Scented with pure essential oils and fragrances.”

Passion_02My next product i’ve been really loving is this Clarifying Cleanser for Oily Skin. This is a super gentle cleanser that feels silky smooth on the skin. I love that Francesca includes directions on how to properly use this face wash. Advising to be gentle and to not add too much pressure, cleansing in circular upwards motion. These are all natural, handmade, vegan and cruelty free products which I truly admire!

“This Clarifying Cleanser is an incredibly adsorbent, refreshing one-step cleanser which is packed with extracts, vitamins and oils that will moisturize so as not to destroy your lipid barrier, while the charcoal deeply cleans. Blended with lemon and lemongrass essential oils, perfect for oily skin types.”

She also offers cleansers for all types of skin, so be sure to check out the other cleansers if this one isn’t for your skin type!

Passion_09Passion_010My last product I have from Passion Moon Potions is this Lip Tint in the colour “Cherry Merlot”. If you’ve read other posts of mine or watched some of my youtube you will know I am a redwine fan so this was perfect for me! The tint isn’t too pigmented so it can be used as an everyday lip moisturizer. This lip tint is deffinitely on the smoother side of lip tints, it glides on very nicely and keeps your lips hella moisturized. Made with olive and coconut oils, cocoa and kokum butters, beeswax and natural flavors, xylitol (naturally occurring in many fruits and vegetables) and Aloha ❤

“Sweet Cherries, with a deep merlot red color. A perfect lip color for a night out, or just a bit of color for your day. This lip tint is made with lip softening oils and butters, and colored with lip safe mica. Sweetened with stevia, tastes and smells, and looks beautiful.”

Passion_03Passion_04Passion_05I also had the pleasure of doing a quick interview with Francesca from Passion Moon Potions!♡

Miz Lulu [Q]: What inspires you to create Passion Moon Potions?

Passion Moon Potions [A]: I love to create products that make people feel good. I’m inspired by this gorgeous island. Flowers, foods, desserts. Anything that entails you to be nice to yourself.

Q: What are two products you use on the daily?
A: Whipped sugar scrubs and Kau’i Oil

Q: Where did the name Passion Moon Potions come from?
A: Passion Moon Potions began from my love of pastry and desserts combined with the importance of lavishing oneself in quality skin care. I always loved being in the kitchen creating delicious things to eat. Baking sweets & decadent desserts was a way for me to express my love for this art through complex flavors and textures combined. As a coffee connoisseur, I also enjoyed making gorgeous designs in lattes using my artistic nature with the creamy coffee textures. I always enjoyed making desserts for people and was happy to put a satisfied smile on their faces. Finding the baking world to be far too fast paced, I decided to start my own business to continue following my love of this art and keep my passions alive. I made the leap from desserts to skincare and combined my love for desserts and sweet smelling skin products into literal desserts for the skin. Flowers have always drawn me in for their sweet scents and beauty. These floral expressions are embodied within my skin care products. For women, the moon represents a source of connection with nature. As I was experimenting with my own recipes and creating luxuries for the skin, I created many potions in my laboratory, evolving into Passion Moon Potions.

Q: When did you start creating your own skin care products?
A: I started back in 2000, went from a hobby to a business somewhere around 2006.

Q: What do you do when you’re not creating potions and filling orders?
A: I work a couple days at my family’s organic cafe. Enjoy Island life. Head to the beach, swim, relax, read. Play around with new product ideas. I focus my life on feeling good and having fun. 🙂Passion_011

Be sure to check out Passion Moon Potions on Etsy! She’s got tons of lovely skin care products for every type of person! ❤

August Favorites

IMG_1704

This Summer has been an interesting one. Probably one of the most heartbreaking, sad, unproductive summers i’ve had. It had its amazing moments that I wouldn’t give up for this world, but there are some people that I really wish were still with us, who we unfortunately lost this summer. It’s been a crazy Summer of unfortunate events, remember to remind those who you love, say what’s on your mind and stay true to yourself. This life is short and precious. Happy that this Summer is over, and excited to take on the Fall, lets get into these favorites.

IMG_1700

I will start left to right just to cause less confusion 😛 So there is my tattoo choker & scrunchie <–obviously a 90’s kid. (I’m currently working on opening an online store. You’ll be seeing more of my products here and there before my store launches..) Tattoo chokers being one of those things you’ll be able to get in my store ^.^ The scrunchie came in a pack of 8 just from any old drugstore.

I got the black obsidian buddha head necklace at the PNE in Vancouver. “Obsidian rock forms from molten lava that cooled very quickly and had no time to form into glass. It is said to be a type of volcanic glass… and is found in a number of places worldwide. Black Obsidian is a very protective stone. It is said to form a shield against negativity and to absorb negative energies from the environment. Because of this it should be cleansed regularly in running water.”

The three bracelet’s I have this month are all going to be available in my store when I launch it this Fall (hoping this fall, fingers crossed!) :D! The white buddha head & turquoise buddha head are both made of turquoise stone. The black bracelet with a gold buddha head is made of natural obsidian stone, the same as my necklace.IMG_1698

I bought both pairs of these plugs (for my ears) from http://bodyjewelrysource.com/ I only ever buy plugs when they’re onsale.. almost like everything else I shop for 😛 They always have new sales and deals on so go and check out their selection if you’re interested ^.^

IMG_1715

I know it was a little early to bust out the gingerbread tea.. But seriously this tea is so effing tasty, and comforting. I usually heat almond milk, with two of these tea bags in a pot so I can have a couple cups full. The cup I featured in my mini Vancouver haul, I bought it at an Art Market at a farm in Cultus Lake, it was quite cute if i do say so mahself 😉 The jar of substance on the right of the stump is this lovely body butter my girlfriend made for me ❤ It smells like lemon marring pie(<–don’t know spelling) , it’s AMAZING and all natural && very moisturizing ^.^ Love you Maria if you’re reading this!

IMG_1726

Last is this tasty smelling candle I purchased at Target. MY GOODNESS I AUGHTA SAY THAT TARGET CANDLE ISLE.. I spent a good half hour choosing what candles I wanted to flutter my house with! There is SO many good ones.IMG_1730

Love you all ❤ How was your summer? Are you excited for Fall?

Hello to all my new followers! Welcome to the family <3!

A Wee Collective Haul

IMG_1424

Currently spending a couple of days in Chilliwack with my Fiance visiting his Dad and Step-mother. Earlier this afternoon we went to an market called “Art on the farm”. I came across a lovely collection of pottery a woman had crafted with her pottery wheel. This mug here only cost me $20. Which I personally think is a bangin’ deal because where I live, our pottery shop is at least $45 for a crafted mug, which I have never purchased but always thought they were quite lovely. IMG_1426A couple of days before we came to Chilliwack we hit up our local “drugstore” and chose a few on sale perfumes/colognes. Unfortunately there were no testers… And we really didn’t feel like bothering the lady stocking the shelves with makeup galore, so we just went ahead and chose a couple random ones that appealed to us. My fiance’s better than mine, I chose two that I am not fond of either, HOWEVER i WILL find a time and place to wear these, plus they will still look nice on my desk 😛

$20.00

IMG_1460

This Jennifer Aniston scent definitely reminds me of an older mature woman, mom like… about 5’4, nice blond hair.. KIDDING. Not about the mature scent though, I can’t really describe the actual aroma’s in both of the perfumes I purchased for myself and for the first time, i’ve noticed there is no actual description or the scent AT ALL, on either of them.

$19.99

IMG_1448

Naughty Alice by Vivienne Westwood is more… flowery.. i think.. It’s a bold scent, kinda pretty, has a slight sweetness to it. In the end it kind of smells like baby powder.. Not sure if it was a mix of smells from the other scents in the room (which wasn’t really anything) I do really like the packaging and the bottle it came in. It came with a “wearable bracelet” I think i’ll probably leave it on the bottle because i like the way it looks.

$19.99

IMG_1446

It’s a Burberry Weekend my friends. We’re hittin up playland tomorrow and my fiance is mos def makin it a burberry a-fair. Hopefully i’ll be able to capture some moments for you lovely birds! This is a typical delicious man smell that girls shouldn’t be able to resist. Myself included. I can’t describe it other than delicious man scent.

$19.99

IMG_1437

If anyone is looking for a new pair of running shoes that make you SUPER EXTRA FAST, you should go to your local sportcheck and try these babies on. Free Run 4.0 which me and my fiance each got a pair. Yes, people.. it’s happening. Me and my boyfriend  fiance are now buying matching clothing. Honestly never thought it would get to this point. LOL. Although his have a nice coral colour instead of this pale turquoise.

$124

IMG_1428 IMG_1433

I somehow miss placed all 3 of my blushes, resulting picking up this Annabelle SkinTrue Blush in the shade “sorbet”. I only saw three shades and this one seemed most popular so I grabbed it with no hesitation. I thiiiiink i paid $8.00 for this.. I totally forget..

$8.00

IMG_1476

I finally jumped on the wagon for essie and to be brutally honest I have no idea what the hype is all about. This product has been waaaay over hyped and not worth it at all. I’ve never paid over $4.00 for a nail polish and i paid $8.00 FOR EACH OF THESE WHICH I COULD HAVE GOT A MEER 4 NAIL COLOUR. The “marshmallow” white colour on the right is literally like painting marshmallows on your nails. YES, i shook the beep out of it and I painted 3 coats which still left streaks on my nails. It’s never fun having to paint 4 coats of nail polish on just to make a solid colour. I have yet to try the “take me to oasis” pale light blue colour on the left but.. perhaps tomorrow. &&&&& I picked up another babylips, this will be my 3rd lipbalm by them and i laaav them. I can TOTALLY understand the hype for Babylips they’re $3.00 a piece and there is plenty of different ones to choose from, including the medic line which is for super chaps and dehydrated lips!

Thanks for reading 😀

No luck.

No luck on finding the manual online or anywhere. Hoping my mum will be able to track it down at her place. So until that is found i still feel like being creative… So for tomorrow since im tired and burnt out now and it’s only 8:32 in the evening.. i’m going to do some research DIY/craft projects to start and i’m going to start being more productive physically so i have more to show and hopefully can start selling some of my stuff! <– Big dreamin right now, all behold the motivational liar! Hahaha me.

I might as well not post what my ideas are and start drawing them out so nobody steals them! Even though i will be the one stealing 😛
