♡ Lover.ly Bridal Beauty ♡

LoverlyBridalBeauty02 When I try to imagine my wedding day.. I see lilacs, quartz crystals, amethyst, lace and for some reason oak. The aromas carried by the light breeze in the air are the lilacs, with warm hints of amber and orchids. We are all different, but I am sure there is more than a handful of us who dream of looking like a true angel on our day. Below are a couple of my choices from Lover.ly, An online wedding planning binder with choices of nearly everything needed for your perfect wedding.
There are thousands of dresses to choose from, have a look here:
Lover.ly contacted me asking if I would like to put together some bridal makeup that I would wear on my wedding day. This was a perfect surprise because as most of you probably don’t know, I am engaged! And could really use some direction to get started on the planning. The website is very organized and you can search colours to dresses to decor & more! It’s a really neat concept and i’ve already started “loving” things on my account which I will leave below.
On my wedding day I would like to keep things mainly pretty natural, letting my true beauty shine with some subtle enhancements. A slight glow to the skin with light eyes and a soft lip. Below are some products to complete a soft, natural, angelic feeling for your special day!

The Chic Eyeshadow Book by E.l.f. Cosmetics

Just a quick review on this Chic Eyesdhadow Book by e.l.f. cosmetics. There is 48 medium pigmented shades. I am not sure if this book is available any longer, I can’t seem to find it on the website. There is this Little Black Book which is very similar for $6.00.

You can purchase this on Amazon $10.00 with free shipping.

♡ E.L.F HAUL ♡

elf_09Recently I purchased some products from eyeslipsface.com. I have a few brushes and a couple of face products to share with you lovely birds today ♡

First i’ll start off with brushes. The elf stipple brushes have been my favorite since the day I tried them. I use my small stipple brush for foundation and the regular stipple brush for blush. I know some people use the regular stipple brush for foundation however I find it leaves my foundation a bit streaky, resulting using the denser small stipple brush 🙂

elf_01I will start top to bottom with this photo underneath.

First is the “Professional Eyelash & Brow Wand” I use this for my eyebrows and sometimes my eyelashes after I have applied mascara and my lashes need some help separating to where i’d like them to be.

Second is the “Flat Eyeliner Brush” which I use to fill in my eyebrows using my eyebrow kit from elf (not shown, purchased at an earlier date). This brush works really great for making a strong line/edge for your eyebrows 🙂

Third is the “Flawless Concealer Brush” which I am new to. All the other brushes have been repurchases, this concealer brush so far has worked pretty good for me. I’m sure i’ll gain a better relationship with it over time.

Last here is the “Blending Brush” which is also a new brush for me and i’ve already fallen in love with it ♡ This brush is the perfect blending brush! It blends my eyeshadow soooo freaking nicely, you must give it a try!

ALL OF THESE BRUSHES COSTS   $1  –  $3     <– Honestly can’t go wrong.

elf_04Next I have the “BB Cream – Broad Spectrum – SPF 20” and the “HD Lifting Concealer” both in the shade “Fair” which works lovely for my skin tone. I haven’t had any problems with this bb cream oxidizing and turning any kind of orange colour. I find BB creams can usually end up looking a bit fake-orange colour after being opened for however long, quite unpleasant.

I’m new to using concealers, this is my very first one. It’s definitely thicker then the BB Cream (wanting to have a heavy coverage on certain spots). I found it dried pretty quickly on my skin, so make sure when you’re applying this to only do it in one or two spots, blend those spots out and then move on to your next area. Otherwise you will find a build up on your skin which can also be quite unpleasant.

BB Cream – $6.00   http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/tinted_moisturizer/bb_cream_spf_20

HD Lifting Concealer – $3.00   http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/concealer/hd_lifting_concealer

elf_05On the left we have the “HD Powder” which is a translucent mattifying powder. I’ve used coloured powder since I started playing with makeup. This is a nice change not having extra colour added onto your foundation, I find that can make it look a bit cakey at times.

This HD Powder was $6.00 which is a bit pricey for e.l.f products. But still very affordable! http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/powder/high_definition_powder

Next I bought the “Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder” which I honestly could have gone a shade lighter. The blush is definitely a bit dark for me, the bronzer is dark so its easy to over do it but it’s also easy to build  🙂

This Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzer costs $3.00.  http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/blush/contouring_blush_and_bronzing_powder

Last is the “Studio Baked Highlighter”. This product you can definitely build, the pigment isn’t very strong so I haven’t played with it much. If anyone has any suggestions on what brush to use with the highlighter that would be fab ♡

The “Studio Baked Highlighter” costs $3.00 http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/shimmer/baked_highlighter

So this is all for this time from e.l.f, I hope everyone enjoyed this post!

Do you love elf? What are your favorite products from them? Would love to hear!

About a month ago I was contacted by a very lovely employee of the LookBookStore.com, which is an online fashion store. Vanessa invited me to be apart of their “blogger program” to help promote a couple of their items. She was nice enough to send me two items for free to enjoy and review for you lovely birds out there! ❤

Seeing as the weather has taken a huge turn and we await the arrival of the snow, the items I chose were to keep warm, but stay fashionable at the same time 😉 . My first item is this “oversized” knit cardigan, now.. It COULD be oversized if I was 5’5″, being 5’8″ though, this is more just a medium-long cardigan. The sleeves don’t reach my wrists which doesn’t really bother me, the zipper is a bit on the cheap side, other than that i love this knit cardigan! ❤ I think it would be even more awesome if it had a hood! Just sayin ❤

This knit cardigan costs $42.00. You can find it here!

My next was my favorite thing on the entire website! Which is this WICKED “Black Faux Fur Coat”. I’m super excited to wear this for halloween, and throughout the winter! This actually keeps me pretty dang warm and fits me PERFECT. This retails at $86.00 & is sooo soft yet fierce!

You can purchase the coat here!:

I love love looove the products I was sent and I highly recommend checking out their selection! Thanks again Vanessa you were very well spoken and understanding to my needs and questions! x

E.l.f Haul <3

Hello everyone! I have a decently sized e.l.f haul for you today! If you don’t know about eyeslipsface.com (e.l.f) it is “Top rated premium cosmetic & makeup products starting at just $1 and Free Shipping”. I know you can find these products at Target or Greenwalls.. ?? Which we don’t have either where I live so I just order online and its super easy! I will have all the product links and prices below for anyone who would like!

So starting with “eyes”, my personal favorite which I re-ordered is the eyeshadow primer i’ve mentioned it in a few of my videos on youtube and I honestly can’t see myself buying another eyeshadow primer. This 100% mineral eyeshadow primer is only $3.00 and comes in two different shades, I have “sheer” and it also comes in “blush”. This product works super great at keeping my eyeshadow on the entire day without any creasing. If I don’t apply this before my eye makeup my eyeshadow will crease within an hour, oily oily!

The “Studio Cream Eyeliner” hasn’t been very good to me however I do need to play with it more, the purple shade I ordered was suppose to be kind of bright and fun but it turned out to be a dark purple/brown colour so.. I don’t see myself using it much. $3.00

The “Studio Lash Extending Mascara” is just your basic mascara if you can’t find your main mascara lying around. The wand is pretty flimsy but you can gain extended lashes if you apply a couple layers, which I do anyways but this wand is a bit too flimsy for my liking. I will be holding onto it for emergencies though 😛 $3.00

My second favorite is the “Studio Eyebrow Kit” I got this in the darkest shade “dark” the brush it comes with the little hairs fall out and into the product and get all up in there, so I advise using your own brush you already have. If you don’t already have one, elf have lots of cheap brushes! This little kit was only $3.00, I only really use the one dark colour side.. not sure what i’ll end up doing with the other 😛

Next to keep my eyebrows in place I have the “Studio Eyebrow Treat & Tame” to just hold my brows down where I want them so I don’t have any flyaways! $3.00

For lips I only tried one product this time because I haven’t really been into wearing anything on my lips this winter for they are dry and sad 😦 Another sad note is i’m not huge on lip gloss’s because I always find them to be sticky and annoying but I thought I would give this a go anyways because it did mention something about being silky and being infused with coconut oil, however … this has got to be the stickiest lip gloss i’ve ever put on my lips. This will never touch my lips again.. I would even feel bad giving it as a present which I do with products sometimes that i’ve only used once. This however! NEVER AGAIN. I don’t know why you would want the link after that little rant but here it is for who ever wants to take a look, luckily this product was only  $3.00 as well.

Next for “face” I’ve been very curious about this “Acne Fighting Foundation” since my last purchase before this one. It’s a lot better than the “Flawless Finish Foundation” and also the “Tinted Moisturizer” by elf. This foundation is wearable with a powder finish, without the powder finish it stays feeling a bit moist on your skin. This foundation is $6.00 so this is one of the more pricey items on eyeslipsface.com, I chose two shades because I have the Ivory in the flawless finish foundation but I wanted to see which colour was truly best for my skin tone. I haven’t even tried the ivory one because the porcelain one works really well with my skin. I also picked up the elf studio “Translucent Matifying Powder” in the shade “translucent”, I find this powder to not be completely translucent and does indeed give a coloured powder application to your skin. I still use it here and there though, not translucent though. Only $3.00 so I really can’t complain 😛

For brushes I just chose a couple that I already had just for backup because my stipple brush has fallen apart of couple times and it might be time to retire it. I really recommend checking out their brushes. Their essential brushes (eyeshadow brush & blending eye brush) are $1 each and their studio brushes (stipple brush above) are $3 each. Great for beginners or people who don’t want to spend $30 a brush. The three brushes above are my three favorites.. hence why I re-bought!

Essential Brushes $1 http://www.eyeslipsface.com/elf/brushes

I’ve noticed its time to get a proper brush shampoo because hand soap just aint doin it anymore for my brushes. So I picked up this brush shampoo for $3.00. “The Makeup Mist & Set” ($3.00) I’ve tried before and I found it smelt a bit funny after applying to your skin (probably the cucumber) However i’m pretty sure they accidentally threw this in the bag because I don’t know why I would have re-ordered this product when I already have a practically full bottle of it already! I have read good reviews about this product though so i’m going to give it another go!

Last I just chose a simple shiny overcoat nail polish from the “Essentials Nail Polish” line. They have soo many colours and they work well for a drugstore nail polishes, they stay on just as long as any other cheap nail polish and the variety is awesome! This one is in the shade “Twinkle Twilight” I have about 8 different colours from the essentail line! These run at $2.00.

I’m always loosing my nail files so I picked up a pack of three (image only shows two.. because what do you know, I lost one already!) For a pack of 3 is only $1 so you really can’t go wrong with any of these products i’ve shown you today! I hope you enjoyed this post and it’s helped you in some way!
